I read the article by Anne about Cat colors but she does not mention the Calico - unless she considers a tri Color a Calico.

I saw the most gorgeous cat the other day and I think my late Callie Kitten would have resembled her. Can anyone tell me what color you would call her?

She was mainly black but had a white chest and one side of her face was white. THEN she had very faint orange spots on her and one of her front legs was orange mackerel striped.

She was too scared for me to catch her or I would have ended up with 5 cats!

Yes, Calicos are considered Tri-colors.

Your kitty description sounds like what would be called a tabico (A calico with distinct tabby stripes.)
