My cousin's wife just called and said they found some kittens in a truck (I do not know any of the details) on Thursday. They do not know how long they were abandoned for. They had called a vet and got KMR and have been feeding them every 3 hours. Their eyes are open but their ears are back. So they have not had any bowel movements since they got them. They have been using warm cotton balls to stimulate them, but nothing. They are urinating frequently. Any ideas on how to get them to use the bathroom? Since they haven't had one yet, should she bring them in? I was thinking it could take a little while for it to get built up in them to actually pass anything, but they have had them since Thursday. What should she do?
I need answers quick, I am suppose to call them back very soon!

Get them to the vet. There have been times I've used a thermometer to make them go.
But, yes...worry when there has been no BM in 24 hours.

I did a search online and they said to use Karo syrup, just a few drops. Is this safe?
