Tom is just having one of these completely out of character days. He isn't even 1 year old but he has been acting very mature the last few months and I was actually starting to worry about how much kitten he lost so quickly...well its back with a vengeance today. I woke up at about 3:00 AM to try to roll over and he came up and sat on my face...guess it was his way of saying hi. Anyway I put him down next to me and he didn't move the rest of the night. He hasn't done that in a long time, usually he is roaming around the apartment or goes to sleep out on the couch. This morning I wake up and was able to pet him in bed for about 5-10 minutes which is really really strange. Finally I got up and went to get dressed and things were fine for the next...about 2 hours. I was fixing lunch and he jumped up on my leg and started to beg for food which again he hasn't done in a long time. I wasn't even making anything he likes, so I put him on the floor and he sits there meowing at me until I let him smell what I was working with. Yep still doesn't like cucumber but he insisted on watching me make lunch. So then I go to wash the slicer I used to slice the cucumber and when I am done he jumps right up onto the sink and then, as if on purpose, steps on the soapy sponge and it squirts everywhere. He then continues to walk around the house doing the wet paw thing where they shake them off...its really cute. Anyway he disappeared for about an hour until I hear some faint meowing...and I found him inside the 50 gallon trash can that was half way full of trash...he makes a good trash compacter but I really don't want him in there because there is rotting stuff in there so I quickly rescued him and washed off his paws. Five minutes later in was back in there and I had to rescue him again...some days cats can be such hand fulls.
