HI, I have a one year old cat who up until last month was completely healthy.
Then one morning last month she woke up meowing and rufused to be touched and was throwing up all over the place and couldn't seem to have a bowel movement. I rushed her to the vet and they did all kinds of blood work and took xrays and found her full of stool and gave her enemas and kept her overnight. I picked her up the next afternoon and after resting for a few hours she was fine until yesterday when she woke up acting the same way. I took her back to the vet and they said her nerves were not strong enough to evacuate all of her stool so we need to try and change her diet to make her stool almost liquid so she is able to get rid of it. They want me to put her on canned Hills Prescription Diet ID and mix a tsp of metamucil in it twice a day but she will not eat it and I don't know what to do. I hate to see her suffer and for her to have to go through more enemas (she hates those).
Any suggestions ? She will not eat canned pumpkin either.
