We have begun allowing supervised outside play, and the kitties are so much happier. Pepper is particularly good about not making me crazy and having to chase or coax her, so she gets a little more leeway. She loves to chase butterflies, and it is so much fun to watch her. We have a big bush at the very back of the yard that she likes to run laps around, and there is a spot where I can't see her for about 2 seconds as she makes her pass behind the bush. She chased a butterfly around the bush and when she got to the point I could not see her, she came running out like her tail was on fire meowing loudly. Right behind her came a fairly large deer. It was hilarious. After a butterfly and encountered a deer.
