New cat owner.

Well, ok not so new. I have owned outside cats before. However, this cat is special. My brother and I went to Pet Smart to look for something for my sister when we decided to look at the cat cages. I wasn't even looking at this particular cat, when all of the sudden, I felt a little arm hit my right arm. It must have taken her a lot to reach me as I was really looking at the top shelf. I looked at her profile, and it turns out that she had the same name as me, so I just had to get her! She was nine months old at the time. She's just over a year old and is already causing problems lol.

Anyways, I'm excited to learn about cats as I was far to young to really remember or to pay attention to my outside cats! She's been really interesting so far, and will be more so as she gets older I'm sure! So, I'm grateful to have found this forum, and I can't wait to read more when I get the time!

What a great welcome! Thank you everyone! She's an American Shorthair, or to me she really looks more like a Bombay cat. She's got a beautiful black coat with green eyes! I'll post photos as soon as I can. I just have eveything packed up since I'm moving shortly.
