I didn't know there was such a thing in the U.S. - have fun! There are all sorts of "asparagus events" this time of year in Germany. Germans seem to go for "white" asparagus, which has to be peeled, and is far too bland for my tastes. Give me green asparagus any day!
I went there the last two years. Last year it was Hot and the Year before it was Cold with some Rain. They say it will be 84 tomorrow. I have had White Asparagus and it comes out tough. We have alot of types of festivals here. Stockton is where most of the Asparagus in the Us is Grown.
