Is it ok that the kittens are weaning straight to dry food, not wet? I had planned to offer them wet food, and then soggy dry food, and then dry food. But this morning I woke up, and there's one of them with his face stuck in mommy's dry food bowl, chomping away! I've offered them all wet food several times and they've always turned their noses up at it.

Is it ok that they're jumping straight to the dry stuff? I don't want them to hurt their little teeth, but it seems to be what they want...

If they are willing to eat it let it be. We used to put warm water on it and KMR for about 2 weeks. You cannot leave the dry sit that is soaked. So if they don't finish it by evening, then throw it away and get fresh the next morning.

I like just getting a few cans of kitten food and making it soupy. I feel they eat more of that and get better nutrition then by nibbling just on dry food.

Mine are doing that too. Some eat wet food when I put it out, but all of them are crunching on the dry. Cuddles has even started working on eating the dry food! He never wanted the kitten milk or wet food. I thought he would never start eating and now he's muching on kibbles!
