We have 13 entries this time because we couldn't break the tie to get to 10.

TCS has some seriously NAUGHTY kitties, and proud owners with quick cameras.
All of the entries were fabulous, and we really had a difficult time paring it down from a whopping 51 entries to 13.

Thank you for all of the wonderful entries for the April Photo Contest - Cat-Astrophies! Congratulations to our finalists, as determined by our site team. To make it fair, we did institute a rule that we could not vote for our own pictures. We were each allowed to vote for 10-15 photos (since there were so many), and these constitute the ones that 1/2 or more of us voted for. (I want to make this as transparent as possible so everyone knows this is a fair process.)

This poll will be open for 1 week. Each member can vote for one of our finalists, and you can vote for your own photo if you want to. You did not have to enter a photo to be able to vote. The top photos will be featured in a 2009 Calendar that will be offered for sale through Cafe Press at the TCS Store.
An example of what the calendar may look like is here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v9.../Example-1.jpg Please note I used the first 3 photos in alphabetical order from the March contest, it is not reflective of the team vote or my own personal views.

The top 3 will receive points (1st: 5000 points, 2nd: 2500 points, 3rd: 1000 points) and a custom signature showing the whole site that they have Mr./Ms. March on TCS! And, of course, bragging rights.
The winner will also have a 2009 TCS Calendar that will go on sale later this year sent to them!

The photos will appear in the next two posts, in alphabetical order. The captions posted with the pics were so good that they will also be included in the calendar.

Someone (Aristotle) knocked over the trash can and a few other items in his kitten days...

And Cedar wonders why I don't allow boxes in the house anymore...

Hobo Skimbleshanks, tribe clown and jester, mentor of criminal kittens, putting the pinch on my Pringles.

Jack tearing up his documents from the vets after he had his first shot.

This is Keiko... my little monster...

Heres Maia, caught but comfy!

Milo and the alternative way to draw the curtains

Peep found the other fish and has an obsession with him too now. I can't imagine how he'll react when he realizes there's a bird in the house.

Spike (black cat) kept rolling around and laying in the soil so it was rubbed into the carpet.... Took me a couple hours vacuuming, vacuuming, vacuuming, and emptying the vacuum often to get it all out! The black/white cat in the background sniffing the empty planter is Pepper.

Sophie tried to eat this lizard but it bit her back.

Reilly: Yum..cellphone antenna!

Takoda having a blast shredding packing paper.

Titan being just a tad naughty, saving our family from the evil paper towel roll.

lol sophie never did try that again. I was so glad I happened to have my camera in my hand when I found her like that. It is seriously a once in a lifetime shot.

I kept wondering why her chest was bald. Took me a minute to realize it was a hand.

Just a reminder...the poll closes in about 22.5 hours from now! If you haven't voted yet, make your choice (or draw a name out of a hat!) please do so!

I was sure that the votes would be a lot more spread out - there really were so many excellent photos!
