Mites|??

ok its important i get replies too this ASAP and people will now about these things!

my female mouse thats due anyday too have babies has what could be mites... but too my understanding these are HIGHLY contagious too other animals...

well shes been with the other mice who are showing no signs of it!
so what else could it be?
i dont want too treat her with too many treatments as the same with cats it may effect her young....

any ideas guys?

I would use Revolution from the vet, treat ALL the mice, not just the one you see the mites on. Revolution is safe to use in very very young baby kittens and pregnant cats so it might be the same for mice. Ask your vet. My friend literally JUST texted me with the same problem with her mice and asked where she can get Revolution from without having to make an appointment with some exotic specialty vet for something as simple as mites.

ive read up a bit more it could be food allergy

so ive picked all the nuts and seeds and moved her out of sawdust see how that goes, but she may have got OCSD(obsessive scratching disorder)
i hope not becuse this is supposed too be fairly bad for them.
ill go too asda tomorow they have rodent mite stuff

Mites are contagious to all, but some take much longer to show signs of! If all else fails theres always the vet! (My vet hates it when I bring in creepy crawly things!
Its so funny! To watch him with a hamster you would think I handed him a spider or something!

haha its only a few miles too our local rodent specialist

i got the mite stuff ill try her with that and do the male she is in with at the moment
as i dont want any of the babies gettin it
