Tiger is soooo skinny, Cinder is too fat!

I have concerns that our 2yr old Tiger(male) is too thin. He eats, is very active and our vet says he is OK. But he looks to me like a cat that needs a good meal. He is very finicky about what he eats but likes Purina Naturals for indoor cats and not much else.

Now our 8yr old Cinder(female) is too fat. They eat the same food at the same time. How can there be such a difference?

Sounds like one is eating more of the food or stealing the other's food if fed separately.

I'd start by feeding them separate in different rooms with a door closed or watch them when they are eating. I hope you are not free feeding - you can't tell how much each is eating that way.

When you feed more controlled feeding, you can monitor their intake and increase the amount of the one that needs weight.

I have the same problem with Ellie, who is very thin though very fit, and Bonaparte, who is way too fat and not fit, though he goes outside. I have to stand over Ellie while she eats her special high calory food in case Bonaparte or Wellington snatch it, and stop them snitching other things, human or animal. Wellington manages to stay at a good weight, though, in my daughter's words, 'he has a mouth like a shovel', but Bonaparte puts on the weight. You just have to watch them - they can be so fast and take more while you are not noticing.

I have that problem with Sasha. She is thin and the other are fat. Whats strange is when Meeko was Sashas age she was skinny like that. When she was Preg with Yoshi you could not tell except for her Nipples. Sasha does have the same Mom as Meeko so I wonder if its in her genes to be thin. Shadow the Mom was thin until she got fixed. Now my Brother has a big problem with her. She is like 17 Pounds now from 8 Pounds. I told him she needs to see a Vet.
