Looking for some healthy additives for cottage cheese. Its a little bland for my palette and I want to jazz it up a little to make healthier eating more enjoyable.

Add fruit.
A lot of people add pineapple. I can't tell you how that combination tastes though... just looking at and smelling cottage cheese makes me gag -I have some odd issues with food.

Add a bit of applesauce and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

dry salad dressing mix - ranch, italian, whatever. don't add the entire package - add some, taste, add more if desired.

I eat mine with a tropical fruit meddley, or with just pear halves or manadrin oranges.

Over the river and through the woods...
I usually just put pepper on it and eat it straight. I've also added peas to it (frozen, not canned) and that is good...but I still use the pepper. Almost any fruit will go with it. One friend of mine mixes it with homemade strawberry jam which should be good but I don't know how healthy that would be. I guess it would depend on how healty the jam is (which, I don't have a clue!)

Peaches with cottage cheese is delicious! Almost any sweet fruit will give it a taste boost. Now, I'm hungry.

if you prefer it sweet, just pick your favorite fruit. if that fruit isn't sweet enough [fresh strawberries, for example] you can add a packet or 2 of your favorite sweetening agent.
in the summer, when they're in season, i love fresh blueberries, plus a tablespoon or so of that squirt whipped cream & some sweet & low -
i also like it w/mandarin oranges or pineapple [but i'm allergic to pineapple, so don't do it anymore
]. w/those 2, i don't add anything but the fruit to the cottage cheese.
for savory applications, i like dry ranch dressing mix. but i'm a ranch fan - if you prefer another flavor, choose the mix you like best.
it'd probably also be good w/dry onion soup mix - like onion dip, but healthy!

Definitely several different fruits work as combinations...............peaches, pears, apples or apple sauce/butter, pineapple, mango, apricots, cherries, raspberries, bananas, mandarin orange, blue berries, and more!

On the west side of... of... somewhere.
I actually found, in a cookbook for trying to deal with fussy kids (and their food preferences), a snack/breakfast of cottage cheese, pineapple chunks, with a little maple syrup drizzled over it. it looked interesting, so I tried it... it's certainly an interesting combination of flavors, but I keep going back... for some strange reason. I never would have thought it, but it's not bad.

if you don't want to go that odd, just try some of your favorite fruit, canned, if you don't have fresh, on top.

I love 2% cottage cheese just plain! Yummy!

However you can put anything you like with cottage cheese.

I sometimes like to put some Splenda and cinnamon in it and put some on a 1/2 English Muffin and broil it in the oven until the cheese is all bubbly and golden. It's a great low fat breakfast.

I also like to use it on baked potatoes. I add some salt and sprinkle it with either fresh ground black pepper or some citrus pepper. I don't bother with margarine/butter.

I will also mix it into my salad and use either a salad dressing or just a sprinkling of fresh lemon juice with some walnuts and sesame or sunflower seeds.

I will add fruit cocktail to it, or pineapple. Basically any fruit goes well with cottage cheese.

I'm lactose intolerant but cottage cheese is one dairy product that I seem to be able to tolerate.

I'm surprised no one adds my favorite-freshly chopped chives!! Or freeze dried ones are good too. Then a few grinds of pepper!

I couldn't get past the look of cottage cheese when I was younger so I just used food colouring to make it all different colours then i could eat it.
