Hi Guys,

There is a feral cat that comes into my aunt's yard on a regular basis - last week it attacked my aunt's cat and left a big gaping hole above his left eye where he had bit him. Needless to say my aunt's cat was at the vet for a few days being treated and recuperating.

Late last night the feral came back and attacked my aunt's cat again, but worse this time!

Does anyone have tips on keeping ferals/other cats out of one's yard?

My aunt is so stressed because of this and to top it off the vet said that her cat might not be so lucky next time and that he could get attacked so badly that he might die!

Help!

I see you live overseas. IMO the BEST thing your aunt can do is to keep the cat inside from now on - or build/buy a cat enclosure or train to a harness/leash and supervise the time outside.

Why continue to let the cat get beat up? Also you are looking at expensive vet bills with the cat getting torn up by a feral cat. And the second thing to keep in mind - the feral cat has NO shots, and could be carrying many diseases.
