My male cat has started sleeping in the litterbox. His litterbox is in the bathroom. I had to put it in there when he started peeing everywhere. He has been using it very well. I bought a new box today because my other cat is sharing it with him now (she has her own). She just likes the one in the bathroom. So I bought a bigger one. I put the new box in there and showed it to both of them my female is using it and my male is sleeping in it. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do?

Wow, reminds me of the Garfield comics!

Uhm when Satey was a kitten he'd get into the litter box when it was clean and play with the litter, then sometimes fall asleep. But he hasn't done that since he was very young. Is the litter box soiled or clean when he sleeps in there?

It doesn't matter to him clean or not just jumps in and sits down and stays there. Like I said my female is using it too.

Usually there is something wrong if they are sleeping in thier litter boxes. They are feeling the need to be in a safe quiet place. It can also mean they are not feeling well. Has he shown any other signs of odd behavior?

He is the same as he always has been. As for eating he is eating very well. I didn't know if it was because I moved it slightly.

It could be. How much is slightly? It may have even been something that scared him that you don't know about. Maybe a noise when you weren't home. It is a small dark place that he can feel secure. I would try giving him a litte xtra attention and see if he decides the box is really not the best place to feel comfie.

I just moved it out from behind the toilet. It didn't fit there since it was bigger. He is using it now I just saw him pee in it. He also has not slept in it since this morning. I am so glad he has not been sitting in it all day. My female is using it I was afraid he would get messy.
