A lot of my cats were born in April during feral cat "kitten season". Today (Earth Day) is the actual birthday of my Muddy and Koko (and chescher's Jake and Elwood). Happy birthday to all of my April babies!!

Indie, born April 1994:

Stumpy, born April 1995:

Pinky, born April, 2000 (no baby pics, sorry):

Lucky, born 2003:
This was taken when his feral mom dropped him at our house. An hour later a tornado blasted thru. I believe Lucky is the red cat towards the back.

And finally, the "kittenino's", Muddy, Koko, Jake and Elwood, born April 22, 2003 and orphaned 10 days later:
If you want to read about them, they are the black cats next to my name.

Elwood lives in Denver:

Jake lives with his brother in Denver:

(and
to all my April babies that I've lost over the years)

Gorgeous pics and what an amazing tale about Lucky - what a dear mama kitty to bring her babies to your porch for safety. How did she know - cat's intuition, I guess

We watched this feral mom carry her kittens up to our house 1 by 1 from the woods behind our house. A storm was brewing and we couldn't move them since we didn't know if the mom had more kittens out there. So after the second kitten, we started to build a heavy shelter for over them. She carried up a third then disappeared. An hour later, the main part of the tornado went thru the woods and destroyed a lot of trees there. A small spin off of the tornado passed by our house. The mom showed up the following morning with a fourth kitten. I have no idea where she road out that storm.

Do cats have intuition about bad weather? You bet they do!!!
