Questions about the development of the 2 1/2 week old babies I am taking care of!
How will I know when they are ready to eliminate without being stimulated? Most things I have read online state they can go on their own at 3 weeks. Mine will be approximately 3 weeks on Friday, but since each individual develops differently how can I tell when they are ready? I don't want to stop stimulating them only to have them get backed up! Do I put a small bowl of litter in the box with them when they are ready?
When can I let them "run" around more? They are getting a little restless in the box but I don't want to tire them out too much.

Any other info about their development at 3 weeks of age would be appreciated

I will try to put pics up tonight...they are so cute! And they are getting cute lil teeth!!

As far as letting them run around -- my darlings started making escapes from their box at around 3 weeks. I kitten proofed my room and just let them out to run about. They promptly claimed the space under my desk as their new pad, and have been growing like weeds.

They pretty much take care of themselves, I've found, in terms of tiredness. They just play play play and then pass out wherever they are. The only thing is that you have to be constantly careful about where they are, so they don't get smooshed.
