Computer help! scanner installation

Im installing a scanner and it requires me to have acrobat reader and it is included in the installation package. I allready have acrobat reader. Do i have to uninstall my acrobat reader and reinstall it with the software package? Or should i install it over my exsisting acrobat reader? or should i use the option and deselect the acrobat reader and not install it at all as i allready have it?

Deselect it, and not install it from the CD's software.
This SHOULD work.

But if it doesn't yes you can just reinstall it, or you can uninstall it and then reinstall a fresh install from the cd.
But do the first one I mentioned first, it's SUPPOSE to work. But we all know computers can have attitude problems.
