Haha, I'm loving this thread!
I agree about the pad thing... I think I used them for my very first period and then was like alright I'm learning to use tampons ASAP!
It just feels like you're walking around with a whole roll of soggy toilet paper between your legs haha
The more I read this thread and talk to women on the other site where I brought this up, the more I think I might try this... My PM box over on that site is overflowing haha
Here is the response the woman over there who uses one gave me:
"I honestly think it is great! I tried Instead last year and I hated it. I never could get it out and it did not work for me. I was leary of the Diva cup because of it, but after reading around I wanted to give it a try because of envrinmental reasons plus I heard that it can make your period lighter and shorter because it does not contain the chemicals that pads and tampons contain. It really worked for me!
I will say there is a bit of a learning curve with getting it in and out. i could get it in ok, but I had to learn to get it in a special way so it wouldn;t leak. And when I finally figured out how to get it in properly it was awesome! I never had to go to a public bathroom because you can leave it in for 12 hours. I am a bit older at 34 and I have had 3 kids. My periods are horrible and very heavy and even on my 2 worst days I only had to change it every 8 hours. WOO HOO!
Here are some links that may be helpful. The 7 fold worked very well for me.

Good luck!"
I saw on the product site when I entered my zip code that they are sold at whole foods - I don't know if they're sold at all of them, but at least the ones near me... so I *think* next time I'm out that way I may go for one - I am a little worried about inserting it correctly though... I may try it out when I'm not on my period just to get comfortable with it (plus my body's so finickey that if I happen to miss my pill one day, I get a little spotting, so if that happens it could be like a test run)... I figure it can't hurt since there are no chemicals that would be harmful... if/when I get one I'll be sure to post about it and of course I'm still stalking this thread!
