Well, I have an appointment with the vet at 1 this afternoon to get xrays and check up to confirm or deny Lily's pregnancy. I told hubby yesterday that I was going insane not knowing for sure, and told him that even he was exhibiting confusion LOL so he agreed it would be a good idea to find out either way. I will post in this thread once I find out the results.

I am nervous LOL.

I can't wait to hear the results. Do kitties show up on x rays at 7.5 weeks of conception?

Leaving for the appointment in 20 minutes. I was pretty sure I read somewhere that xrays can be performed after a certain number of days, but of course, I can't find the place I read that! Oh well, it's only a matter of a few minutes now that I will find out!!!

Thanks for all the well-wishes. I will post here in one hour

This is one of several websites that state that skeletons are visible through x-rays at approximately 45 days.

Well, I'm sure that my LP has fooled more than just me because even my vet thought she was pregnant too. The xrays though, showed no fetuses, so the vet and I were discussing the false pregnancy and that my cat will finish up and then return to heat again. Good news too is that she is very healthy and happy and has great teeth LOL.

On a side note, the vet pointed out all of the organs which I've never been priveleged to see in a cat, and it was very educational

We will be getting her spayed at some point in the near future as well, unsure of when due to the fact we're moving and such.

Thanks everyone for helping us through this...somehow I knew this would be the outcome, hence the vet visit...at 130 bux!!

They will show up. She was about three to four weeks when she had her Xray. They saw three Kittens on it but she had 5. Let us know when you get back.

Glad everything turned out ok. But watch that little boy! Don't let him be trying this again

Question: was I the only one that said she was NOT pregnant?????

I was on the fence....
My initial opinion was that she did not look pregnant. But we dont have any before picture to compare her to. Her sides dont seem to be bulging like what I call saddlebags. But the fact that you can see her nipples leads me to second guess myself.
So I think you were the only one that was sure about the false pregnancy. When you're good you're good!

Yeah, and when you're wrong you're embarassed!! LOLOL. I kinda feel like a fool, but at least I knew that I could be wrong as things just weren't adding up to the real thing. She fooled my vet though, which I think is comical
Xrays don't lie about what's inside and what isn't.

I will just live vicariously through all of the posts here and envy the cuteness of all the babies.
