Might be graphic for some.

Well first I thought I was going to start 3 days early. Started slightly bleeding out of no where then stopped a few hours later. That was on the 12th of this month. Then on the 15 I started and it was really heavy. And I had a lot of clots. Plus I have been having bad bad cramps. Then yesterday (the 20th) started passing large clots. Some bigger than a quarter. Today tho the cramping hurts so bad and I am almost 7 days in. I never start cramping this far in. Plus I am still bleeding heavily with no signs or stopping and its very dark. It just hurts so bad. I can barely walk.

I am so scared I might end up back at the hospital. They already said I might have a fibroid. And the pain right now is unbearable.

If I could find my husband I would. This time I have to go over 50 miles away.

i 3rd that! where is he? will he be home soon? can you take a cab instead, or would the cost of that just be prohibitive [i never take cabs anywhere, so don't know what they charge.] if he's not going to be back for a while, perhaps you should call for an ambulance...

He is out fishing somewhere and I looked at a few of his spots and he was not there. But I came home when I relized driving is what I should not be doing in as much pain as I am. I could take a cab to the local hospital but I have a thread floating about how horrible they were the lsat 2 times I was there for this. Basically all they will do is give me pain killers (if I am even seen) and tell me to see a doctor. So my only option to get see by a decent doctor is drive 50 miles away.

I know I need to see someone but around here most don't take it seriously unless I am bleeding for at least 10 days.

I agree go to the dr...but go with someone..I went myself..I had a problem in late 2002...
I bled from sept 20th till december 20th..straight..and fairly heavy i became anemic .go figure..
first hospital I went to told..me I had abnormal bleeding and go home...uh huh...
and of course it was a student dr that saw me in the e.r. he came back and told me that the dr on the floor didn't feel I was worth his time...
so.I went back to work..mainly cause at the time I lived alone and figured if I dropped at work someone would notice..but not at home...

well..I went through a few different dr's (walk in clinics)..one female dr gave me the pill..told me if it didn't stop in a day or 2...to double the dose..which I did..
it stopped the bleeding but the pain was really unbearable..so I dropped it back down to 1 pill..the bleeding started immediately and a lot of pain...
I ended up going to a 2nd hospital ..that hospital called the 1st one and yelled at them for sending me home...
they sent me to a gynecologist who did a biopsy (no freezing for that) god did that hurt...
and then surgery..(laproscopy)...
so...
fun stuff..
no endometriosis..but had cysts on my ovaries..and he drew me a little diagram that looked like the ovaries were starting to grow together..but somehow that drawing is gone...
I still get lots of pain for my periods but they haven't been that bad lately...

you really need to be seen now. if it is a fibroid they can rupture or grow so large that the ovary itself can rupture. Not to scare you but i had a friend about 10 years ago that litterally bleed to death this way.

The fibroid in not on my ovaries. Its lower down closer to my cervix. My mom has them and I called her again and asked her advice and experience with them. I will talk to husband tonight about when to go. But I know from experience pain or not they will not do anything until I am at or past the 10 day mark. Which if you include the day I started but stopped its been 10 days but for the onset of actual bleeding its only been 6 days.

Just say it's been 10 or 11 days, they're not likely to interview your husband or come look through garbage to find if thats the truth. You know the pattern by now, besides it will probably take them a few days to really get anything (if they do anything) done.

Why is it so blasted hard to find a responsible doctor in your area? This is insane! With your history, there should be no question about whether you need help. If they aren't sure whether you have fibroids, then they need to find out! And if they are sure, then they need to remove them!

I'm starting to wonder if you're being brushed off because you have bad insurance, or because you're a high-risk patient for some reason. Could that be what's happening? I just can't imagine why they're treating you -- or rather, NOT treating you -- this way.

If I were you, I would gather up all the records of all your visits to doctors and the ER over the past year or so, take them to the most reputable gynecologist you can find, and go over the whole history with her. I'd ask her for a plan of action -- not just a wait-and-see, but a plan to find out what's wrong and fix it.

I'm really sorry you're going through this.

I live in a small cruddy town what can I say. Since my last experience I have been asking around about others experience and its all very much the same. Unless you have insurance there is not much they can or will do. And even if you do have insurance you still don't get top notch. I hate it here when it comes to this stuff. You should be around when I try to find a dentist for my sons. It won't happen within 50 miles of here because no one will see him.

update the pain has subsided a great deal and so have the clots. I am sure when the pain starts again so will they. I have been sitting all morning with my feet up. My lower tummy is still hard but at least not as much pain.
