I think I like giving gifts the most (just like presents at Christmastime) and when I enter the Plaza to buy them, I think it's fun scrolling through all the options available! But I do admit it is fun receiving them too! I'm new to the new boards and just meeting new people so it is a fun way to get to introduce yourself. My favorite gift... it's hard to choose. I am thankful for all of them! I like my butterfly from Kim (kluchetta), since I remember her from when we joined the boards 3 years ago, not to mention that I love butterflies and their representation of change and hope! I also received a gift of points from taterbug so that I could buy my childhood cancer ribbon so that meant a lot to me! And I also cherish my LifeRing from MuleNag representing our newfs and my heart from Cocoalily representing our common Twix kitties. Ugh... it's so hard to pick. I love the ones that have a meaning behind them! It's to hard to pick just one... I adore different one for different reasons... but if I was forced
to pick and could only keep one... I would say I cherish my cancer ribbon the most.
I wasnt active on the boards when the interest rate was high, so I dont think I have as much of an opinion on that subject; although I can say that I enjoy that we get an interest rate at all... so I think that part is fun! And I dont think that the cut will reduce the number of gifts given;however, I think the arcade might have a slight impact as users might want to save their points for that... but then again, I think that will encourage more activity on the boards or in contests! On that note, I would love to see a mega-gift offered for sale. Give us something to aim for. What good is having a bank full of points if there is nothing spend them on? You can only buy so many gifts, and there are some (although I cant imagine who
) that dont frequent the arcade. Of course... all this is coming from someone with a new bank! LOL
But, I know I worked hard when I wanted to graduate to Super Cat so that I could earn my Personal Avatar. That was a cool incentive, I looked forward to reaching that mark and enjoyed making my animation!
