Tedi loves string. When you play with him he gets a piece of it, hold on with a death grip and won't let you until you let go. He meows throughout holding it and takes off with it like he wants to hide it somewhere. As soon as he sees you moving towards it after he's dropped it, he's trying to pick it up before you do.

If my cat the only weird one that does this?

With me it's not a string but a round 2 ft. diameter rug. Most of my cats are very fond of it. When I lift the cat, the rug is stuck to all four paws. They'll knead it into a ball and keep it under their bellies. Sometimes when they're lying peacefully on it, if they see me trying to touch it, they'll push my hand away. I use my foot and not my hands to play tug of war, so you can see me walking like Frankenstein (or Igor) , dragging the rug with a cat around the living room.

Luvbug loves strings. He hangs onto it as though it was his security blanket. He'll take it anywhere he wants to go with it and doesn't want to give it up. It's so cute since he's a large boy.

Seldon is a fiend for string. He battles it like he is waging a war none of us have ever heard of.
