This sounds just wonderful! I'm so happy that so many folks are going to be able to make it. I must admit I am extremely envious.
I too shall look forward to photos.

I also don't eat lamb but I'd love to try the other Persian goodies. Wish I were close enough to participate.

I checked the May schedule yesterday and I work the 10th of May so I will be able to make it! I just need an address and directions on how to get there. I will most likely drive back the same day since my dad will be going to Six Flags that same day and someone has to look after the kitties.

What time are we meeting?

Unfortunately, my family has changed their plans and instead of meeting next weekend, they want to get together May 31st. So for right now, I'm going to have to withdraw my RSVP
but if plans change again, then I definitely want to go!!!

Sabrina, the time of the meeting will be up to Lee and Sheri, since it's their house -- but I suspect around midday, or maybe late morning... to give out-of-towners like you time to get here. But let's see what Lee has to say!

Pam, I'm so sorry! I guess you've explained the situation to them? No mercy?

That's fine, Carol. That was what I was hoping for so that I could get up early and have a bit of time to get up there and find it. I wasn't sure if a time was already addressed so I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss if it was posted.

This is so exciting! Are you sure your dad wouldn't like to come to the meeting with you?

He won't be able to. He is going to Six Flags with his class that very same day. I'm pretty sure he will be on the bus.

Well, my entire family will be getting together, including my grandfather who is only in the States for a little while, plus, I was planning on staying with said family while I was up in the area.
If the past is any evidence, the date might change again. We'll just have to see!

Dallas is some six hours from me, which isn't the problem - I have a pregnant daughter due to deliver around mid month she is in San Angelo. I will have to wait a little longer and see when she is going to deliver - she has her next appointment Tuesday - should know more after her appointment

I have a sister that lives in Carrolton who would probably let me stay with her - I probably should ask though -

Oh probably should let husband in on this - he may notice . . . then again with him it is hard to tell.

How fun!
Ohhh, that's a neat idea.. I'd probably be able to join in too that way..
I have a built in camera in my laptop and use it to videochat with a few of my close friends that I don't see in person as often as I'd like to.

Ah, leave a few bags of chips near the remote control, and you can probably make it back before he catches on. Come join us!

Just a note to confirm that, despite being laid up in the hospital with pneumonia at the moment, Lee insists that he and Sheri will still be hosting our meetup at their house on Saturday, May 31. He's very determined, and I hope that incentive will help him heal extra-fast.

If anything changes, you'll hear it here first!

There's no place like home
And right now I have to wait a bit to see how my thumb surgery goes and if its going to heal afterwards. I'd hate to buy a ticket and find out that I need to stay real close to home for the next few weeks. I'll keep you posted.

I hope it goes off as planned, since I'm using it as an excuse not to go to a wedding in Kansas!
