I went to a neighbor's house yesterday and she told me about this antique shop that sells porch swings. Well my dad and I went there and the price was listed at $199 but they weren't open yet so we went to check out an amish store and got some canned goods, homemade dinner rolls, candy, and blackberry pie. And then we took those home and we went back to the antique shop, the swings at the amish store started at $300 and they were plain, while this one was cedar and had hearts that were shaped in four lea clovers on the back rest plus hearts under them. And my dad knew the guy who used to work with him and he dropped the price down to $150. And they will be getting matching rocking chairs and cedar andiorac (sp?) chairs and tables that go between the chairs. And they are all handmade buy an amish guy. And the swing looks so good on the porch. We have a white house with a green room and the porch has cedar posts and a concrete floor. And as soon as we can we will be getting green shutters for the windows. This is hunter green. And we live way out in the country and our road has apple trees, that my dad's parents planted, and we have tall trees in the front yard that dad planted when he was a kid, and my grandma's peonies are coming out and dad planted more. And I also got two new porcilan (sp?) dolls. I have been trying to find native american dolls because my grandparents on mom's side were both atleast half native american. Grandpa was choctaw and Grandma was cherokee and I wanted something to honor them and I found two on of a young indian girl and one of a little girl playing drums.
