Living in the land of not enough time
If any of you have been in the Health board, you may have seen my posting about Pipsqueek. I brought him to the vet yesterday because he was constipated. It is worse than expected.

Pip is receiving a second enema. He ate overnight, and has passed small amounts of stool, but not enough to send him home. An xray is next, looking for a blockage.

My anxiety is overwhelming. I've never heard of an animal dying of constipation, but I have heard of them dying of a blockage. Why is it, when a child is sick, the parents are to sit by their bedside and hold their hand and be a part of the medical treatment. But for my fur-baby, I have to leave him in a 3'x3' cage and go to work like nothing is wrong?

Please send some of those miraculous vibes to help him!

Sending mega prayers and vibes out to Pipsqueak and adding some calming & comfort vibes to you
When my dog was hospitalized for rattlesnake bite, I was allowed a 45 min. visit per day; it helped that the vet was in my sister's class and he understood how much I was relying on the dog for emotional support because it was during a time of grief for me.

TCS vibes are truly a miracle!

Pipsqueek came home Friday night and went straight into isolation. He wasn't contaigious, I just needed to be able to watch his litter carefully.

The xrays showed no blockage (Thank You Goddess) but large amounts of stool through-out his colon. The vet gave me a sample of a powder...the colorless tasteless fiber powders in the food stores for humans to mix into his food once a day. Since Friday he's had some weird looking stool, many different shapes and consistancies, but he is pooping!

Tonight I re-introduce him to his brother and give him the run of the house.

Again, thank you TCS for the vibes and the support! You are truly

Oh hon, that's such a great question. I've never understood it, either, and I've annoyed a couple of vets by refusing to accept it. They act like I'm crazy when I say I want to stay a couple of hours and hold my kitty while he comes out of the anesthesia. But I persuade them, by golly!

If you could explain to a kitty what's happening, it wouldn't be so bad... but all a kitty knows is that he's trapped in a cage and mama's gone and he doesn't know any of these people.
I can't handle it! Gotta stay.

Many good thoughts for your little Pipsqueak!
