My Simba hasn't been acting right for a long time and I'm so frustrated as I try to help him and figure out what is wrong.

He is very restless most of the night and will actually stand/sit on my back or side while I am sleeping; and not in what seems to be a comfortable position. In addition to this, he will walk back and forth across my body for what seems like all night. He will get up around my neck and sit on my chest. He always slept close to me, but nothing like this. I almost feel like he is trying to get my attention to tell me something. He is relentless with this at night, and then he sleeps most of the day. Has anybody experienced this?

He has been battling this ear infection which I still have no answers on, therefore, he currently is not being treated for it because they are still trying to figure out what he has. The latest is... my vet sent the dermatologist some tissue from his biopsy last week and she is waiting to hear back on the results of the stain he was doing. I left a message for her yesterday and also this morning but still have not heard back. I just want my boy to be on some course of treatment; this has been ongoing for so long now. He had the biopsy 9 days ago... I really thought I would know more by now

I really don't have much advice to give you. It might just be that he is feeling particularly needy since his surgery, and has decided that he needs to be with/on/near you more right now. I think I remember reading in a different post, that he is on antibiotics. This might be making him behave a little differently (although whenver my cats have been on antibiotics, they avoid me like the plague, because they don't want to be pilled!)

Sorry, just re-read your post, and you said that he isn't being treated currently for the ear issue, so probably isn't on antibiotics. I imagine he probably is having a little discomfort from the biopsy, or possibly still experiencing a little emotional trauma from the whole vet visit/surgery. I sincerely hope that you are able to get some answers from the dermatologist soon. You and Simba continue to be in my prayers.

Thank you for your kind words and support. I also thought maybe he could be having some adverse affects from the anesthesia. His surgery was over a week ago, but not certain how long it remains in their system.
