I wasn't going to but it seems I should
It's always a good idea - you can always give a "disabled" or "senior" discount for someone who would provide a good home, or even waive the fee if you are able to feel totally confident that the kittens are going to a safe home. Preferably, they will be adopted in pairs, too.
Sending "easy delivery" prayers and vibes to LK :vibe:

Is it normal for her to just sleep, normally she is pretty playful but now she is just sleeping, I have to work a 12 hour day tomorrow hope she has them before or after that I want to be here with her.

She's got milk, I checked her nipples and she has milk so that means soon right? Oh and I decided to see if it bothered her if i took the scabs off and it turns out that her nipples were inverted and/or clogged. Once i took out the scab and all the white behind it her nipples all seem fine. She just let me do it, what a good little kitty

No babies yet but her nipples are full and she is looking around the house for a place to hide. She is pacing a lot, I think it'll be soon

Nervousness is a good sign they're close!

You said she's looking around... Do you have any boxes set up for her to choose from to have the kittens in? I always provide my fosters with a couple choices, a covered (cave-like) box with a hole in the side, an open top box, a pile of sheets in a corner and their crate... You never can tell what they'll choose, but if you offer her a box with some old towels or sheets in it she might check it out and settle in.

Good luck! Hoping for smooth, healthy deliveries.

Oh, what a lovely little darling!

To me, she looks like she's big enough that she ought to be all right having the kittens, but I would definitely keep an emergency vet clinic number on hand, just in case.

And don't worry -- I think we all turn into ridiculously nervous crazy people when our cats are nearing labor -- it's so scary that they can't talk to us to tell us if something is wrong!

Hopefully, she's delivering healthy little babies right now.

She looks like she ought to be able to have kittens just fine, looks big enough to me! I think its the mental part for them when they are so young! The fact that she has her colostrum already is a good sign! Has to be soon, but Im not taking any bets!!

I think one of the most telling signs is nervousness; digging in their nesting box, frequent trips to their litter... sometimes they are vocal and call for you, not wanting you out of their site. Like your girl is doing now.

The foster I have now actually went out of labor when I left the room. I thought I was crazy, but had picture proof!

The very first cat that I seen give birth, I sat with her all_day and half the night. She had been very nervous the morning/day before. Every time I left she would meow til I came back (weird I know - I think I was a cat midwife in another life!)

Anyway...

I finally gave up and went to sleep. She woke me up several hours later, I heard her digging around. But I am a very light sleeper.

Once it starts, she will breathe heavier and you will see the contractions in her stomach!

Do you have a birthing-kit ready?

Good luck! I'll be watching this thread for a little bit longer. Hope everything goes smooth and quick!
Actually this is not crazy at all. Almost all of my girls wait to have kittens when I am there and will cry if I leave.

I know it's not unusual for family cats to do this, but the cats I've seen give birth are all foster cats/strays!, with the exception of my very first preggo mom who we adopted from the pound. We only had her 4 weeks before she delivered.

I think my most current foster waited for me too! I was on TCS until after 3 in the morning and had been checking on her all day. It wasnt until 1/2 hour after I went to bed that she decided to have her kittens.

And the foster before her actually went out of labor when I left the room. I had to sit with her another 2 hours before she decided to start again.

It's weird but not...
and kind of endearing
I like that they trust me enough to want my companionship.
