I have a 6 mo old kitten. she looks like she has a hair or something in her eye, but won't settle down long enough for me to get a look at it. She's not tearing up, squinting or weeping. any thoughts on how to sit her down long enough to figure out what's up? Any possible eye problems that I should know about - it seems to change shape when she blinks. my concern is that she and her little buddy play rough and that maybe her eyeball go scratched.

If you hold her by the scruff of her neck, she will be still enough to look at her eye. It won't hurt her, just do it gently. That's how I have to hold my cats if they need medicine. If it's a scratch, take her to the vet. She'll probably give you some ointment. She might squirt some liquid in her eye that glows in the dark. That will show her how big the scratch is, or if it really is a hair in her eye.
