I wish I had seen this site a while ago. Seems like there is a lot of great support On March 12th of this year I had to put my Burnsy down due to illness. I had him for 15 years..I got him as kitten from a relatives litter back then. I was divorced in 1998. all I aksed for in my divorce was Burnsy. My wish was granted. It ripped the heart out of me taking him in the carrier to the vet. I knew it was the right thing to do. But was the most painful thing I ever went through. I creid so hard that whole day and still wil have my bouts of weeping. Not a day doesn't go by I don't think of him..

I miss him terribly..

I am so sorry for your loss, you know in your heart that you did the right thing, but sometimes your heart just doesn't let you forget.

I also had to put my cat and my dog to sleep, and like you I know I did the right thing.

Please try to remember all the good times with Burnsy.

I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to make that final decision when we love them so much. You made the right decision and Burnsy is now free from his body that was causing him so much discomfort.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

RIP Burnsy

Condolences on your loss of Burnsy. Making that difficult decision takes incredible love and courage, for in ending their pain and suffering, we are breaking our hearts, but that same love lights their path over Rainbow Bridge. And you gave Burnsy a wonderful life where he was treasured with love and toys, safety and comfort; and now he is cherished always, in your memories.
Play happily over RB, Burnsy

So sorry about your Cat. I had to have two Pts very close together. one on Dec 5th 2007 and one on Jan 11 2008. I am here if you ever need to talk about it. Stripe was the first one Pts. She had Crf and we did everything. That was in 2000. The Rest all died and I didnt have to make that choice.

kudos to you for making that hardest of choices in his best interest... doesn't make the emptiness go away, but at least you did what was best for him.
for you & a
for Burnsy, who's happy & healthy once more, chasing
over the bridge...

I'm so sorry that you lost your little guy. As time goes by you'll remember all the fun you had together and the loss will seem less painful.
