So, I got Larry and Lena a package of 6 little mice. I put out 3. Within days, 2 had disappeared. I looked under things, (stove, refrigerator, couch, piano), around corners, in crevices - nope - they were well and truly hidden. So I put out 3 more - and, within days, we were down to only 3 mice. (This has been going on for a couple of months.) Then, there were 4.......now, today, all of the mice are back!

I swear, I looked under and around everything!! Where the heck do they hide these things?!?!?

What stumps me is when they lose a toy and I NEVER find it. At my lsat apartment Wickett dissapeared with a fishing toy attachement. I move out of that apartment more than 2 years ago and even when we moved after everything was gone I still never found it. We even moved appliances to clean and it never turned up.

or things they turn into toys and hide from you!

chloe turned the end of a mcdonalds chicken nugget into a toy. it petrified and she would play with it. we have wood floors and it would be SO loud! i would try to take it away from her and i could never ever find it. i looked for it for months -literally. she loved that dang petrified nugget! i finally found it after about SIX MONTHS!
she'd hidden it behind a large picture that was too heavy to hang on our walls (our apt is crap) so we put it behind our floor length curtains. it and several other toys were hidden back there.

after i threw it away she would sit and stare back there looking all sad and cry. i felt so guily that i almost went and bought her more nuggets

That IS funny.
I stopped buying toys for Brady. But now we buy those Lindt chocolate balls just so that he can have the crinkly wrappers to play with. He LOVES those crinkly wrappers! Hubby will make a big show of crunching it into a ball so it's really noisy, Brady comes running, and plays with it. But he only likes them when they're 'fresh.' After a day he's not interested so he has to have a new one. We find them EVERYWHERE but they're cheaper than toys!

They're funny that way! My grandmother's cats loved olives, so she'd throw them a few every once in a while, and then year later after my grandparents passed away, we found them when we were emptying their house!

My Ferd loves foam balls. He takes them to the top of the stairs and drops it and chases it down the stairs. He repeats this process ALOT. He has lost them all, I can't find them, but I'm sure they'll turn up sometime, like they always do. There's about 9 of them kicking around somewhere.

He's like a dog though, when he wants to play, the ball lays in front of him and he looks at us and cries "play with me". It's ridiculous really LOL

that's what's happened here too. milo has a piece of green air pipe that he likes to carry around, retrieve etc. he lost it a few times but we always found it. the last time though, nothing. it has disappeared into thin air! i moved out all the appliances a couple of weeks ago and found loads of their other toys but not the elusive green pipe. very strange!

when i 1st got chloe, her mousies kept disappearing and one day i was cleaning the litter box. i discovered blue fuzzy poo! she was eating her mousies!! she didnt get any more mousies for a loooong time. maybe thats where some of the toys go

today i was in the bathroom and chloe brought me a mousie. i dont know where it had been but it was covered in lint/cat hair. it looked like it had been in the air filter! it was missing both eyes and an ear and its tail was barely attached!
theres really not much telling around here

After I first moved into my apartment with Melody-she found a toy that wasn't even ours somewhere-it was the ugliest mouse toy I have ever seen, but she loved it! Then when we moved to our house about a year ago, we have had more toys diappear to who knows where, but then a strange thing happend about a month ago:

Gracie's favorite-I mean FAVORITE! toy is a pipe cleaner curled around a pencil like a spring, she loves these things soo much! Anyway, I do not give them to her unless we are home to supervise as it is not the safest toy out there, well we have gotten to the point of never being home long enough to give them to her so we keep them hidden where she cannot get access to them. One day I come home to find one of them in the toilet! You also need to understand that we keep all the toilet lids closed so no one can go swimming when we are not home. I have no idea where the frickin thing came from or how in the heck she managed to get it into the toilet. I guess it will always remain a mystery.

We had bought the jingle balls and they all disappeared. The cat we bought them for passed and a later cat found them.

In the middle of the night. *jingle* *jingle* *jingle*

a couple of weeks ago a got a rusty bolt stuck in my flip flip flop. i pulled it out in the apt and threw it away. either it fell out of the trash or chloe dug it out (she watched me dig it out of my shoe) because in the middle of the night i heard this really really LOUD noise followed by pittering footsteps (yall know what im talking about lol) i got out of bed and theres chloe looking all innocent and in front of her the rusty 3" bolt that i'd thrown away a couple days before.
