Our friends came over yesterday and working with Mike put up a huge walk in closet in the bedroom! It's 11' wide and 4' deep!! I have three sets of shelves above it. After over three years of not having a closet as we are remodeling- it is absolutely a thrill to walk into the bedroom, and open the french doors and walk into my closet and just go "WOW!"

Congratulations! It sounds like your closet is almost as big as my bedroom! Wow, I have a sleep-in closet!

Cool! I used to have one just like that in a town house I used to live in, it was just as big and had a window in it and everything!! lol. It could have been like a whole seperate bedroom. We have a walk in closet here, but it's not as cool, and too full of my fiances junk .

Oh Hissy, I envy you so much right now! Since I bought an old schoolhouse, there are no closets here!! Just a couple of makeshift, bad attempt at closets! We have to buy wardrobes, which then take up more room from my little space.

Wow, a walk in closet sounds pretty good right about now......

Hooray! That is so cool! I had one in my last apartment, but have tiny closets in my house.

Hmm, now that I think of it, my entire walk up attic is like a walk-in closet.
Only it's not easy finding stuff up there anymore....

What wonderful friends you have! I am excited for you. After three years+ with no closet you deserve the joy this new closet brings. I would probably go sit in it for a while....LOL!

Congrats!!

Movin' on up!
That's one thing that I miss about my old house. This house does have 4 closets, though and the living room closet is a walk-in. We use it for winter coats and the vacuum cleaner.

We had a clothes pole hanging in the new addition- and any clothes we wanted to wear had to be warmed up by the heater first! Then as I was putting clothes in my new closet, I found several yellow jackets hibernating on my shirts- thank God it has been so cold outside and they were sluggish and non-responsive. I hate those things- and all I can say is I hope they have a nice swim down the drains...
Our new addition is still partially opened so anything and everything can get out there right now...But hey, what do I care- I finally got a closet!
