I don't know if this is the right forum in which to post this but I' sure the mods will move if need be. I have a couple of Siamese kittens coming my way in about a month or so (once they're past the 12 week mark) and I have some questions.
I pretty much have the pick of the littler and was thinking about a male/female pair and was wondering if there is much of a difference, or if it's better to have a same sex pair to keep each other company?
Can anyone here recommend a good quality nail clipper for the little ones?
Lastly, I plan to use Soft Paws in the future and I am also looking around for a kitty condo and was wondering if the use of Soft Paws would somehow hamper the kittens/cats climbing ability? If it does then I'll get something built more for jumping up rather than climbing.

Thanks for any and all replies!

Sex doesn't really matter, I see little difference in my cats. Though the girl is a bit more lap catty than both the boys. They spend more time snuggling as girl/boy than boy/boy, unless it's all 3 snuggling together which is what they normally do

I like these nail clippers in size small.

my Pixel & Mouse were littermates, both girls. i asked for Mouse [love blue kitties] & whichever other kitty was her best friend from the litter. turned out to be Pixel. they were both girls, & the best of friends until Mouse left us. so i would suggest choosing the one that appeals to you most [or interacts w/you most] & his/her best friend. worked wonderfully for me!
will the kits already be spayed/neutered when you get them? if not, a same sex pair will relieve the time constraints somewhat when that time comes, as they will be unable to breed. [sometimes time just sneaks up on us! i was able to spay 3 of my females prior to 1st heat, but the other two went into heat earlier than i expected!]
softpaws don't seem to hamper my clawed cats' climbing ability in the least, btw.

I will have to get to spend a little time with the kittens and watch them interact to see how they each play and deal with each other. The kittens will not be altered when I get them and it is a concern of mine.
And as far as them being able to climb with the Soft Paws on, that's interesting. But I guess I'll just wait for them to get here before buying a gym just so I know if they will take to the Soft Paws or if I even need them at all.

Thanks to everyone for posting replies.
