Cat does not sleep

Bonita Boo was poisoned and almost died. She is ok now and is an indoor cat. Before, she used to sleep all day and prowl outside all night. Now, I never see her sleep. She seems to fight it. Once her head literally dropped face forward to the floor from exhaustion. One factor to consider is she is partially blind now.

Everytime I open my bedroom door at night she is up. What gives on this odd sleep thing?

if she's tired enough she will sleep, it is not ultimately possible to fight the need to sleep.

I'll bet she's napping when you don't see her, and wakes up when you open the door. Have you mentioned this to your vet?

Yes, it might be a good idea to have a vet check her.

Maybe, because of the eye injury, she's now sleeping with her eyes partly open? Is she still for long periods of time in a way that otherwise looks like sleep? Does she curl up?
