My heart broke when I saw her name here. It may have been too short but she had a better life than some cats even dream of... You made a beautiful tribute to her and she will forever be with you!

I just don't even know what to say. I am in tears reading this. You did so much for that girl and gave her 3 wonderful years full of love and joy. She is at peace now and free from her pain.

It was her time - she struggled so much in her earthly body and with love, you went above and beyond to make her life the very best one possible.

Damita Mae can SEE now, and she will always be looking out for you and the furbabies you care for.

She was an angel here on earth, and now she's scampering happily under the warm rays of sunshine just past rainbow bridge.

oh no, Nat, my heart just dropped when I saw this I'm so sorry! You gave her so much in her time with you, never doubt that you did everything you could. She is whole and healthy now, running with those who have been waiting for her. I am so sorry RIP Damita Mae

I've known she was dying, particularly these past few days. There might have been something more I could do, but I think I just knew she had lost her fight....she was ready to go. If the cat is no longer fighting, how can I?

I was petting her as she fell over, & continued to pet her until she was gone. I stayed by her side, I hope she knows that. I'm just so thankful she wasn't alone when she died. I've been force feeding her some these past few days, I wish I hadn't force fed her last night....but at least I didn't cram anymore meds into her.

Now I have to go clean myself up to be a functioning member of society, not sure that I can do that....but I have to get Bea to the vet today...and I have to go to campus to get an assignment turned in.

I'm sure she knows you were there with her in her final moments. I don't know how you do it every day Nat. You are a hero!

That's the truth.

I'm so sorry you lost your beautiful girl.

So sorry for your loss, Nat. Damita is no longer in any pain or suffering. She may not be with us in physical form anymore, but she lives forever in our hearts. I know she will take comfort in that.

Natalie, I am so saddened to read this. You did all that needed to be done. Thank God you were with her. I will keep you both in my thoughts and prayers.

Nat I am so sorry to hear about Damita. You did everything you could. You knew when she was ready to give in. You gave her a new life when you got her. She had the best years of her life with you and she couldn't ask for a better mommy.
