What does the following behavior mean? I've only seen my cat behave this way once before, a long time ago.

My cat appears restless between naps. She walks around, sometimes runs, peeking into areas where she can hide. She doesn't leave me alone as long as she's awake. She'll even bite me to get attention, especially when I'm cross with her. She is not normally vocal, but makes gurgling sounds and lets out a crying meow more than normal.

She seems to want me to pet her constantly, and appears happiest when we're both lying on the bed, and I'm stroking her stomach -- an area she normally doesn't want me to touch. She seems exceptionally compliant. For example, I can touch her hind legs without getting swiped. Normally, she won't let me do that.

Not spayed. That was my guess too.
