Hi everyone. newbie here!

Hi,

My name's francesca and I'm from Oxford, UK.

I am new to the site today.

I grew up around a house full of dalmatians and was never a fan of cats but when I moved out with my boyfriend over 2 years ago, we decided to start a little family by getting our first cat.
He was a black moggie called Dave.
We love him so much, but unfortunatley he was hit by a car two weeks ago up the road from us and is no longer with us.

We have just decided to get another kitten as it seems so empty around the place without dave around and have picked out a lovely mostly black kitten and will be bringing him home in 5-6 weeks time.

We have been having trouble deciding on names, so have come to this website for some inspriation, or help with a decision.

Hope to stick around for a while. Dave was only a few weeks away from his 2nd birthday, and Im sure theres plenty more we can learn about looking after a kitten second time around.

Welcome! I'm so sorry about your dear Dave! I hope you can find some things that interest you on this site and get some great advice from all of us here!

There is a forum called "rainbow bridge" where you can post a thread about your dear Dave. It's a wonderful way to find some closure.

Hi Francesca! Welcome to TCS. Good to have you among us! So very sorry to hear about your kitty, Dave--it must have been so hard for you to lose him. I rescued a kitty that got hit by a car last week, and was glad to hear he's going to be okay. It will be fun to have a new little kitten in the house. Best wishes!

I just love getting new little babies . Mine are getting a bit older now so I may have to think about a new baby soon too lol
