I wonder if cats actually realize that when we're on the toilet, we're doing the same thing as when they're in the litter box. If they do realize it, they probably wonder why we don't use litter like they do.
Who knows what goes on in a cats mind.

I've wondered about that too. I think they must know from the smell, it must smell at least somewhat like theirs?

I think Ollie might have some clue what's goin on when I'm perched upon the throne lol... cuz when he comes tearing out of the litter box cabinet after a pee I give the baby voice all "did Ollie go pee-pees?! Good pee-pee!" haha And when he comes in for a visit for my business I assure him that "mama is just goin pee-pees like you do in your box".... haha so maybe he connects the word "pee-pee" with the 2 activities....

Ok I'm weird and share too much information with my kitty

Far far away!
Sox is like this. She has to be with me everywhere I go. She comes in when I shower too and has to sit there starring and even comes in the shower sometimes!

My furry roommate, Cassandra, is fascinated by my bathroom activities! She'll fly in after me whenever she hears me going (no pun intended) in there. She is a little scared of the flushing toilet noise, though. Since she's figured out that me standing up means a Big Loud Noise is about to follow, she scurries out before that can happen.

courtney_ou, your comment about scratching cracked me up. I wonder how Cassandra would react if I did that!
