Did you guys hear this news? A piece of an artillery shell went though a house into a girl's bedroom in New Jersey. Fortunately for the family, the little girl was not in her bed. Unfortunately for them, the family cat was.

I'm from South Jersey and saw this on the news... I'd sure be suing whoever was responsible not only for the cat's medical bills but for the emotional distress I'm sure the family is experiencing, I think it's completely inexcusable - that type of thing shouldn't even come CLOSE to happening... I told Oliver he's now sleeping in a bomb shelter!

The Army apologized. I would have also made them fix the roof!

I saw that on the news this morning. I was crying like a baby over it, trying to get ready for work

I did see a glimpse of this today, but didn't hear what happened to the kitty!

What a very strange thing.....

Bless the kittys soul.

That's a shame. A freak accident that could have been even worse.

Poor kitty.

What was the Army doing again?

Unfortunately there will be no "medical bills". The cat did not make it.

That is so, so sad - that poor little girl will probably never feel safe in her bed again, not to mention dealing with the loss of her precious cat

I stand corrected. It seems the cat did not pass on its own. It had to be euthanized....therefore creating medical bills. Yes, I agree that the army should foot the bill.
