An embarrassing incident for my boy Wawa. He was chasing a strange cat off the property. The intruder escaped by squeezing under the gate. Wawa must have been so set on catching him that he ran head on the gate. I heard the "boink" all the way from inside the house.
I ran out and saw Wawa shaking his head and he looked quite stunned.
He is fine and proud to have once again succeeded in protecting his territory. But I have noticed that he keeps his distance from the gate.

It must make you feel quite safe to have such a guardian taking care of your property!

I had a cat once that had the hardest time remembering there was a sliding glass door between him and freedom. He would go into these random spastic must-run-everywhere-as-fast-as-possible fits and 95% of the time he would go headfirst into the glass door. I always loved the look of utter bewilderment on his face - you would think it was his first time doing that. XD
