Thank you so much for your vibes and prayers, you guys have always been here for us and your vibes and prayers have always pulled us through. I love you, guys

As Helen said, Snowball is ok, we are hoping. He still will not put any weight on his leg and is still crying, which is why they think he may have a hairline fracture, but the xray is not showing in outright breaks.

They gave him Buprenex and Metacam. He was sleepy but will not go to sleep and has not eaten anything all day.

They said to call them in the AM if he hasnt eaten by then.

Does anyone know of anything to build his appetite? I know with cats its bad to go longer than 24 hours without food, but does anyone know what it is with dogs? Should I be giving him pedialyte?

Jim taught Snowball to jump out of my window into his arms, which has always been a "cute trick", until today when Snowball did it with Jim's arms full. Snowball went over Jim's shoulders and landed right on the concrete and could not get up, crying out in pain.

He's a Bichon, prone to dislocations, but this was a really hard fall. I you guys could continue to keep him in your prayers.

We went to Acton Road, they were really nice with us and treated Snwoball well. But they took FOREVER!!!

Dogs aren't like cats, they won't get fatty liver disease.

Tried any canned dog food? Cooked meat?

I don't know about Pedialyte & dogs....they have different needs than cats so it could make things worse.

Is he drinking any water?

You must be worn out this morning.

It's such a worry when our little ones get hurt.
How is Snowball doing this morning?

I am sending Monday morning hungry and healing vibes to Snowball and will be watching for your updates Pam.
Feel better fast Snowball.

He slept with Jim and I checked on him all night long and he wasnt sleeping anytime I went into the room, but hes not crying either. I wonder why hes not sleeping, he must still be feeling so much pain.

My 10 year old niece was with me and she was so calm, it helped me so much be calm myself, when inside I was so panicked, seeing him screaming in pain and not being able to help him or make it go away.

Hes still limping and is moving around cautiously.

Thank you All

Just catching up with this thread. Healing vibes coming your way for Snowball and hugs for you and hubby.

Maybe Snowball is sleeping and when you get up to check you wake him up. Poor wee thing.

Thats probably what it is. Normally, he stays asleep when I check on him, (I check on him periodically every night) but hes probably not sleeping soundly after the incident.

He goes to daycare during the day, but since they dont want him being active on his shoulder/leg and we both will be working, he will go to a babysitter today so he can be monitored closely.

He seems to be a really calm, happy and loving mood this AM, poor baby

Aww Pami lots of healing for Snowball, maybe the meds are keeping him from sleeping even though that should probably make him sleep sometimes they play tricks on me
I can take benadryl and pass out during the day
and it keeps me awake at night so I don't think it would be any different
to you Pami
