One of my cats (the culprit remains unidentified) urinated on my bed last night. This has happened before, we deal with it, but this time they managed to hit my electric blanket. So for those of you who own these blankets and might even have had this happen to you, please tell me how to wash it without destroying it.

I wash mine on the gentle cycle. It has never worked the same though since the first time I washed it.

I got an electric blanket for my elderly cat Bo. He got bladder cancer and had lots of accidents so I washed that blanket often, just like a normal blanket. However, after a year or so of washing it at least weekly, I noticed it didn't warm up anymore.

Thank you all for the help. We'll see how it comes out.
