I recently read a book set in pre-war Japan. It's about a young girl from a fishing village who is sold into slavery. It's not a true story, but the book title leads you to believe that it is.

The book I'm reading is one in a series about a "Jersey girl" with a career as a bond enforcement agent, a crazy family, and two hot guys after her.

Yep, "Twelve Sharp" by Janet Evanovich. I've liked Janet Evanovich for a while, but my sister-in-law got me hooked on the Stephanie Plum series.

Your turn!

I'm currently reading The Stone Angel by Margaret Laurence... tremendous book. Really puts things into perspective and makes you question your life and your goals. They're actually making a movie which I might check out. The Stone Angel

This game seems to have faded out, let's see if I can revive it.

The object is to guess what I am reading from my hints. If you guess it correctly, you provide hints to what you are reading.

The book I am presently reading is often called the greatest American novel ever written.

Yep! That's it! Captain Ahab and his peg leg.

I am a little put off about this book and the way you will be reading some very interesting fiction and suddenly the book starts talking about non-fiction things, on and on. But you are right, so let us guess what you are reading!

Well, I guess I do not have to guess what you are reading!

I see that Laureen's post is still unanswered and since I cannot answer it, guess what I am reading?

As all my books of late, it is 19th century lit. Certainly a classic, the author is female and when thinking of her, the name society comes to mind.

Few women come to mind when I think of the 19th century, and my first thoughts are not of you reading a book of poems... so I mentally eliminate a few names from my list.

My guess is for:

Wuthering Heights by Emily Jane Brontë
