Bella's kittens going to vet today - possible eye infections

This morning when I went in to see the kittens it looks as though they may have eye infections. On one of the kittens his poor little eye is closed and the other looks watery. The other kittens looks as if their eyes are watery too. I called the vet and they want to see them today at 11:45. Poor little things...their eyes looked great yesterday...can infections just happen that quickly overnight? Now the real challenge is getting Bella and the kittens to the vet. I don't know how she is going to act - she is very protective over her kittens. Here is a picture of the little guy with one eye open... Here are some pictures.

I took Bella and kittens in today and looks as though one of the kittens could possibly have the start of conjunctivitis. I was given an ointment to put into his eye twice a day. Otherwise the kittens are all very healthy and doing great. Their weights are all .13. The vet also started giving them a deworming medicine today and I will give it to them again at 4 weeks and 6 weeks. She said to go ahead and continue Bella's revolution treatments as it is safe for nursing mothers. She had a hard time trying to sex the kittens but I believe I have 2 boys and 1 girl. Bella was such a good girl at the vet letting them handle her babies...I am so proud of her.

I think eye infections are a common thing in kittens -- I don't know why that is. I wouldn't worry about it too much, unless it becomes severe or if it doesn't clear up.

Bella is a good Mommy. She knew her babies were only getting checked and helped. Sweet little kittens.
