Hi, I'm new here.

My name is Mandy. My husband and I have a 9 month old golden retriever, and a 3 year old cat (a torti) named Apple.

Apple has been doing something lately that concerns me. The vet said, of course "just keep an eye on her" but I thought you guys might have some insight.

For the past few days she's been sneezing. The 1st day it was only a few times. The 2nd day it was more frequent, then yesterday it was a few or more times and hour. She seems to be sneezing a lot less today.

Her eyes and nose are normal. And when she sneezes it "sounds clean" if that makes sense. I just mean it doesn't sound like she's snuffy or anything.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

The vet didn't seem to think it was a big deal, and it may not be, I just don't like thinking she might be uncomfortable.

It could just be allergies. It is that time of year again, and cats can sneeze from pollen and things in the air, too.

Another vote for allergies. My tortie, Callie, is also sneezing right now, but no signs of runny eyes or nose. I'm watching her. My other kitty, Hannah, is getting over an URI and is on her 2nd round of antibiotics so I'm really keeping an eye on Callie.
