Polygamy is not practiced in the LDS church at all and hasn't been for 100 years.
What does Fox have to do with anything?
To digress, you offered the links as proof that children were being taken from their mothers and that this is wrong. Heidi said before that that particularly mothers of 5 and 6 yo children are staying with them, and your articles which I interpreted as an attempt to disagree and prove that they were taking the children away. Your articles say the same thing (that the mothers of 5-and-youngers were allowed to stay with the kids) so I looked at the tone of the article and the affiliations of its writers and publishers, and decided that the difference of opinions which could lead you to say essentially the same thing as Heidi but with such a different perspective that you thought it to be saying something actually different were based mostly on the bias of the paper.
It is pretty clear, at least to me, that the Deseret is trying hard to portray the FLDS as helpless victims to be sympathized with, and the child welfare people as horrible monsters who came in with unnecessary force and stole their children.
As for your clarification about polygamy and the mainstream LDS church... glad we agree. That's pretty much exactly what I said, except for a specific time constraint (the LDS banned it in 1890). I said, basically, that many people still have a much greater tolerance for the fundamentalist LDS types even though they may not condone or practice polygamy. http://www.marieclaire.com/world/news/big-love-polygamy
is one example (actually gives a pretty good and very relevant perspective on it). After all, the founder of their religion was polygamous, and so were many of their great-grandparents.
I'll interpret your wink as saying that you know exactly what Fox news has to do with anything.
