My brother and I were washing up this evening and we suddenly heard a scrabbling at the door. I opened it in time to see Beauty going back down on to all fours and coming in, so I think it was Beauty trying to open the back door to come in.

At least Beauty is coming in for a treat. My Aunt Lotty's cat, Pussy Girl who was a big girl, was able to open the screen door (which didn't close all the way) with one paw, sneak in with a dead chipmunk or mouse, move silently to the back bedroom and hide the dead thing under the bed. After a day or so the smell alerted Aunt Lotty. She would yell at the cat to not bring in dead things. The cat would just look at my aunt with a look that said, "Well, you're always cooking and you don't seem to be hunting, so I am picking up the slack."Originally Posted by rescuecatsrule
