My brat (otherwise known as Martini) sure showed me this afternoon! Whenever Martini feels I'm not keeping her litter box up to her standards she creates a mess.... with the litter. I scoop every other day, but she is a brat when she wants fresh litter! Once i came home to find the box of fresh litter knocked on its side and clean litter every where. I thought that was bad.

I was planning on changing her litter tomorrow (I live in an apartment and I actually have to drive to the dumpsters and all I wanted to do was take a bubble bath and relax tonight). I walk into the bathroom to start a bubble bath and to my surprise she had kicked almost all of her dirty litter out of the box! Dirty litter all over my bathroom!!

I guess I learned my lesson and Martini "taught" me that for now on I'm not going to slack on the fresh litter! So much for a nice relaxing night, now i have to scrub my bathroom!

Isn't it amazing how our cats know exactly how to get the message across in a way that makes sure that the job gets done

JC will put in a reminder, such as the scoop or a bag of litter. Otherwise, he will drag a piece of toilet paper from the bathroom and put that on top of the litter!!
And when I drive my grandson back to San Diego after a school vacation, it is very common for JC to bury my personal items, such as hair trinkets and other jewelry in the Poo-box. Once he put in a paperback book
I'd love to be angry at him, but he's just expressing himself, right

When Chynna was my only kitty, I scooped a few times per day so that when she went to use the box again it was clean. When I got Abby, I found that I just couldn't keep up with all of the scooping. Between the 2 of them it just seemed never ending. So Chynna had to get used to using the litter box in between scoopings. She was not happy! She eventually got used to it.

I use Jonny Cat scooping cat litter and 1 bag lasts me 2 weeks....just. By the end of the 2 weeks the litter is quite low. Chynna likes a good amount of litter because she's a digger. So when the 2 weeks is up and the litter is low, Chynna lets me know that the box needs to be cleaned and the litter refilled by sitting in the hallway beside my computer desk, looking at me and then towards the bathroom. She only sits in that spot when the litter needs changing.

Of course by then it's "urgent" and I have to rush so my baby can go potty!
