Choke on liquid meds???

Hi,

i always hate to feed them meds (both liquid form and tablet.) and today i think my Girl got choked today when i feed her with liquid meds. she kept coughing after i feed her with the meds!!! i am so worry about ther, should i take her to vet? how can i feed liquid for of meds so that they won't hurt because of the meds?!

When I had to do this (last month due to a UTI) I scruffed Toby (with him sitting between my legs, i.e. indian style), then I would stick the syringe back as far as I could go and squirt it quckly...If I got it back far enough, he swallowed it, however, if it was at the wrong angle (pointing up or straight back) he'd cough, spit it out, etc. You can try giving it to her in smaller doses, i.e. only 1/3 of the syringe contents at a time.
