i thought peanuts were legumes... but she's a cute Peanut!
classic/mackerel/spotted/ticked are all tabby patterns, not colors. there's a wealth of info on tabbies here. you can also find coat genetics explanations - like tricolors, white spotting, bicolors, etc.

When I said classic I meant the normal brown tabby I didn't even think of the fact that that was also a pattern, I knew it was but it slipped my mind. They should all be mackerals. Any thing that protects and holds a seed is a fruit. I actually found a list of fruits on wikipedia and thats where I got my names. hehe

I agree- there is at least 2 different fathers in this litter. Was gonna mentioned that it looks like you might have a silver patched tabby/white kitten - that's cool.

Am surprised at the colors tho - thought you might have a silver

Its possible that Olive "could" have a tiny spot of red on her, but only way to test that theory would be to mate her to a black or blue male ONLY. And if she produced a tortie - then she would have to be carrying both red and black color genes.

I know a case where a cat (rex) was shown as a black cat (granded) and when she was bred to another black male, she produced a tortie! They looked and looked and finally found a tiny red spot on one of the legs - making her a tortie, not a black.

With Olive having the white on her, if shes a silver tortie the white could be hiding that red.

More then likely there is 2 fathers involved.

I really highly doubt there were two fathers involved though because that red cat was only on my property for a few minutes. The blue cat was here the whole time. If he was the fathe he was very sneaky. lol

I'm not sure - I am not familiar enough with very young silvers. Maybe Nial (who has Silver Bengals) knows more of what color they are when born. I think they are dark, then lighten up to silver.

But if you have calicos and mom's a silver (black), then the red male had to have mated with her! It only takes a min or two
