help needed now...

i had 1 kitten born on sunday night mom has dried up cause of having only 1 i dont know what to do i was told if i get a mother cat that has had a litter and put it in the litter she might take but how can you make sure the mom cat will take to the kitten please i really need help she is really skinny.

Goodness! I've never had that happen. Poor baby! If you will read thru the following link, you will find lots of helpful information. You could also call your vet and ask if there is anything they could give momma cat to help with the milk production.
